Qingting FM, which started to break VIE structure, announced that it finished the D round financing which is led by China Culture Industrial Investment Fund. The value of Qingting FM reached 2.5bn RMB. Qingting FM showed that the found is mainly used in original team building and personalized recommendation mechanism building.
Actually, Qingting FM has already showed interests in origin creation. Started from PGC, Qingting FM started to arrange PUGC in 2015. Last July, Qingting FM’s global blogger competition was accumulating contents for its PUGC.
Besides, Qingting FM cooperated with Heyi Group, Innovation Works and New Rank to establish the Youshengyoushi – a media opinion IP incubation platform. They aim to create an industry ecosystem of all media platform + vertical opinion leader.
As for personalized recommendation mechanism, Guo Jia (Vice President of Qingting FM) said, “In 2016, Qingting FM will launch a new version based on big data analyses. The future Qingting FM is like Toutiao, customizing private interfaces and radio according to user properties and listening records.” Through personalized recommendation mechanism, users can find detailed areas where they are interested in, thus improving user experience.
Additionally, Qingting FM also explored many fields. Before, Qingting FM signed strategic agreement with the largest vehicle hardware producer, making it possible to build Qingting FM in Mercedes-Benz,Audi,Volvo, andmanydomesticbrandcars. It is estimated that the number will reach three million.
In January, 2016, Qingting FM signed strategic agreement with Haier Refrigerator, entering intelligent home appliances business. By setting up brand radio, it involves in users’ kitchens.
Now, Qingting FM covers more than 3,000 radio station and more than 9 million hours audio program, including music, technology, news, finance, business, fiction and so on.
Since 2015, Qingting FM is committed to produce professional broadcasting. By October 2015, there has been more than 12,000 professional hosts on Qingting FM. Guo Jia said, “The possibility for us to be the first listed company in domestic audio market is very high by the end of this year or next year.”
