NetEase Music recently launched a program called “Space Broadcasting Station” allowing its users to send their voices into space. Partnering up with Beyondfun Media (风马牛传媒) and China Aerospace Academy of Systems Science and Engineering, NetEase now collects its users’ voice memos and plays them 500 kilometers from Earth through satellite Beyondfun 2 (风马牛二号). Users can now literally tell their deepest secret to the stars, confess their unrequited love where no one’s listening, or speak to a deceased loved one who has entered heaven and became one of the stars.
User feedback has been very positive so far. Many users are amazed by the attention to detail and the warm, emotional setup of the program. You can record a voice memo with BGM of your choice, receive a beautiful digital certificate of the recording and then have your voice memo broadcasted in space. NetEase’s humanitarian-focused marketing has won over the hearts of its users once again.
