On August 2nd, NetEase Music has reached the copyright agreement with a major Japanese record label, KING RECORDS. Through this agreement, NetEase Music would be able to add a variety of high-quality music, including pop songs, anime songs, live music, folk songs, to its content pool. Notably, soundtracks of many popular anime, including Ajin: Demi-Human, will become part of NetEase’s offerings.
KING RECORDS was established in 1931. It imported a large amount of western pop music, movie soundtracks, Italian folk music, and French chanson into Japan. In recent years, they successfully managed a group of artists of their own while heavily invested in the anime industry. Popular artists Nana Mizuki, Mamoru Miyano, Yui Ogura are signed under KING RECORDS.
